Why doesn't my Jasmine bloom?

I live in southern california so the weather is always nice and I water it regularly. It's ability to vine is great but it just won't flower. My niegbors Jasmine flowers but they don't speak english so I can't really ask them what they do.

Why doesn't my Jasmine bloom?
2 things to solve this

Make sure it is in full sun, light really effects the flowering of some plants e.g. ever seen a tree under a street light flower on one side .

%26lt;N : %26gt;K reduce the amount of nitrogen and give the plant more potassium. You can buy potassium sulphate on its own and throw a handful around the plant every month or so. otherwise get a flower and fruit type fertilizer, they normally have about 26% potassium and 16% nitrogen. It will give you more and better quality blooms, and will also give the plant a better appearance.
Reply:Excellent! Report It

Reply:A possibility is that you are using fertilizer with too much nitrogen! Nitrogen makes plants develop their green parts like their leaves, but no or very few flowers will develop! Even if you are not using such fertilizer, it is still possible, that there is too much nitrogen in your soil. In that case you should cut back the plant and dig it out and exchange the soil. After that put the plant back in and use a proper fertilizer! After a while you should have plenty of flowers!
Reply:we have 2 plants of jasmine..the one that gets sun 3/4 of the day blooms like mad.....the one in the shade for 3/4 never blooms...
Reply:what language do they speak? some bilingual people here can probably type up a note asking how to do the flowers, and you can give the note to your neighbor...just post another question for best results i think
