Hi all, i'm almost due and have been told that clary sage and jasmine can start labour. Can anyone please tell me if they have tried it and did it work. I have been told i could go into labour anytime, so i am not taking any unnecessary risks.
Clary Sage and Jasmine?
I used clary sage and rosemary oils in my bath, where I spent all of my first stage of labour. My son was born after only 7 hours, and the midwife was sure that the oils were a contributing factor to how fast things went. It probably would have been a lot faster as well if I wasn't carrying a big baby.
Don't use it neat on your skin thoug, either sniff it from a tissue, use a burner, in the bath or as in a carrier oil for massage.
Reply:Dont mean to be rude in this answer but your partners sperm is a good activator for labour too. So you can do something you enjoy and start labour ! Double bouble !!
Reply:the baby will come when the baby is ready. but a long walk and a long bath could help. good luck
Reply:the best thing to do is have a curry! Sipcy food works. If not soak in a bath or go for a walk. Good Luck
Reply:aromatherapy essential oils have extremely powerful properties and I must stress that they should only be used by a qualified aromatherapist. Don,t put yourself and your baby at risk love.
Reply:hi hope your not in labour now lol. to your question idont think it will start you in labour but they do say scrubbing the kithen floor or a nice hot bath is good for stating labour. they even say a good bit of love making will do the job lol.so good luck and hope all goes well been there 3 times x
Reply:If you are almost due to deliver, it doesn't matter what you use as you cannot harm the child.
Reply:never tried that but sex is a good way to kick start labor as is spicy food, a long walk, or stimulating milk glands
