Question for people who own schnauzers, our Jasmine who is 10 months old loves to use her feet to paw us'?

Jasmine takes her front paws when we are holding her, like a baby would use her hands to get your attention we never know what it means but shes does it when I cuddle with her. I touch her paws and talk to her but she keeps doing it. Does any one have a schnauzer that does that to them?

I guess I need the dog whisperer huh lol.

Any answers would be a help thank you'

You must have a Miniature Schnauzer. They have alot of poodle in the breed, and poodles are known to that. My poodle that I had for 18yrs did it, and so does my current dog. Which is a Schnauzer. You will also large dogs paws little dogs when they are playing. My Catahola likes to paw crickets and spiders. See steps on them, then looks in curious. Wondering why they are not moving and more.
Reply:I can tell you one thing for sure...it has absolutely NOTHING to do with being a schnauzer.

Alot of dogs do this. They are dogs, its their way of communicating. Maybe she's playing, or trying to show affection, or even trying to get or keep your attention focused on her. She could even be trying to tell you something....like she wants to go 'out' or wants food. Could be many different reasons. But its NOT a breed specific thing...
Reply:I have a schnauzer and she does the same thing. When we are not paying her attention she will come up to us and paw at us. She does it I guess to get our attention and play with her. As soon as I start doing something else and not playing with her so will start pawing again.
Reply:I use to have a mutt that when you flipped her over and held her like a baby she would paw at you when you weren't paying attention to her. She really loved her chest scratched and would do it as well when she wanted it done.

Shes most likely trying to say "hey I'm over here don't stop with the nails" or something close to that.
