What's happening to my Madison Jasmine?

In North Carolina, we had a late frost, and many of the leaves on my Madison, or Confederate, Jasmine are still brown. What has happened to it, and what should I do?

Are the branches dead? Do they snap when you bend them? If so, your plant is probably dead.

If they are green, the new growth probably just got nipped by the frost and should be pushing new growth out. You can add a high nitrogen fertilizer to the plant to promote leafy growth or just wait.

I'm not sure what zone you're in (7b?) or what kind of winter you had in NC, but Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Madison' is a zone 7-9 plant and, depending on many factors, could be killed by the winter even in zone 7.
