I love the scent but I can't keep them alive for too long. The buds don't even bloom sometimes. What am I doing wrong? This new one I got about a week ago and the leaves are already drying up (some of them), I think it's dying on me again. Some help?
JASMINE - 2 much sun? 2 little?
Hope you tilled the earth and used plenty of compost and some appropriate fetelizer. You did not say what part of the country you are in. There are a varity of jasmine types. Some like shade and some partial shade. If the leaves are drying up, it could be a sign of too much water or the ground does not drain properly and you need to build up your soil.
Reply:What kind of jasmine? Confederate? Asian? Night blooming? All need full sun and an inch of water weekly. It must be outside.
Reply:move them

Reply:Make sure that you do not drown it or not water it. Give it good even moisture. Then put it in full sun to part shade. Make sure the plant is drained and not in standing water. Get something for it to climb on like a trellis.

Jasmine Bridals?
How come I can't find any prices on their gowns?
Jasmine Bridals?
Most wedding gown web sites don't list prices. You need to find a vendor who sells Jasmine Bridal gowns to know the exact prices. Go back to the web site and search their "trunk shows." The bridal stores listed probably sell Jasmine gowns year-round and can give you a price.
Happy Shopping -- it's the best!
Reply:You have to go to this site http://www.jasminebridal.com/html/web3/s... and figure out what state or what country sells the gown(s) you are looking for...because of the market, the bridal shops will charge different prices for the same gowns, depending on location...
Reply:This is like any designer where you have to find an authorized retailer in order to find out the price. Now I was in the same boat as you. I went to authorized retailer to find a dress that I liked, but I could not try on the dress because they did not have it there in my size. This did not sit too well with me and I ended up getting a dress that I loved from Davids Bridal for about the same price.
Reply:I think http://houseofbrides.com carries their line with prices listed online

Yasmin is birth control.
Kind of ironic if you name your kid that.

Where can I buy Madagascar Jasmine (Stephanotis floribunda) in Toronto, Scarborough preferably?
how do i take care of it, i killed one last year. I am just getting into plants. I baught a nice orchid from Costco, about a month ago. So far it is amazingly beautiful. i am afraid i am going to kill it to. My Walmart one died on me already. But i really want to find a store / nursery where they have lots of jasmines, especially madagascars. I can travel in GTA, if I know a store has it for sure.

Any of the jasmine plants are good for this. The ones that are more fragrant make better tea.

Wouldn't it be so hot if any two of the disney's princesses kissed on the lips? (like Ariel,Jasmine,Belle, etc)
I was just wondering cause people might like lesbian cartoon movies. Imagine in a disney movie, you find Ariel and Jasmine falling in love, Anastasia and Belle kissing, Mulan and Pocahontas interlacing fingers... Wouldn't that be hot? A disney cartoon movie with girls kissing on the lips... So sexy and romantic. And what if they also made the princesses nude while kissing on the lips? Wouldn't that be hot?

Who was the best t.v. actress turned singer of the 90's... Tisha Campbell, Jasmine Guy or Tatyana Ali?
Tisha Campbell had the song "Push" (which she actually performed on Martin.. lol)

Jasmine Guy had a few songs that got play including Another Like My Lover

Tatyana Ali also had a couple songs in rotation, but her hit was Boy You Knock Me Out cause Will Smith was in it.

Although Tisha Campbell is technically the best vocalist of these three, her skills don't show up in "Push". Tatyana's "Boy You Knock Me Out", with its Bobby Caldwell sample clearly scores a big TKO.

How do i remove big warts on my neck without laser surgery , non painful ,heard jasmine crushed leaves better?
My warts are genetic in nature and they are big and are drooping around my neck.I want painless non invasive suggestions.Someone suggested jasmine crushed leaves juice but it did not help? These small warts are also coming on my face.Any natural suggestions ? NO BEAUTICIAN- NO SURGERY PLS.
How do i remove big warts on my neck without laser surgery , non painful ,heard jasmine crushed leaves better?
I can recommend two remedies.
(1) Start taking homeopathy pills Thuja - 200 potency, six pills each three times a day. Also apply Thuja ointmentn on the warts. since you have bigger warts, it may take more time.
(2) Tie a hair at the root of the wart tight to stop the blood circulation. Within a week, the wrt will fall off. Try with one wart first.
Reply:Duct Tape may do it. As unusual as it sounds, it usually works! Whatever they use to make it super sticky, that may help remove warts.

Removal Of Warts
Warts occur because of a virus called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Medical science hasn't yet produced a medicine that can be applied topically or taken orally to kill this virus and remove warts. The only method is to physically remove the warts or teach the body's immune system that warts are foreign or diseased bodies and should be destroyed. In children, most of the warts may go away without any treatment, but the same is difficult in adults. If you leave the wart without treatment, there are two possibilities- either it will go away or new warts will appear. You should talk about this with your doctor and decide. You should try to avoid getting infection from public places such as showers or locker rooms by wearing footwear.
Warts Removal:
Doctors use many methods to remove warts. Using chemicals to dissolve the wart slowly is one of the popular methods. In this case, chemicals such as salicylic acid are used. Your doctor may also treat and remove the warts with nitrogen freezing. In this method, the doctor applies liquid nitrogen which has very low temperature, on the warts and that dissolves the wart slowly. This treatment may be repeated considering how many warts you have. The other method is removing warts using electric surgery. Some other methods such as injections of bleomycin may be used, but they are not common. Laser is also used to effectively remove the warts. You should talk about all the possible treatments with your doctor. Even after removing the wart, there is no assurance that another will not come up. The only way is to remove the new growth as soon as possible.

I have a couple of ideas that both worked for my children.
But I guess it would depend where on your neck the wart is. Because these would be visible.
but they are;
1. at the drug store you can buy wart ointments and wart bandaids. Each have a painless acid on them to gradually kill the roots of the wart and it will actually peal off.
2. The other is believe it or not, "duct tape" . The actual name brand one though. A piece of it over the wart, and left on there for about a week, will smother the skin, in that area, and thus also killing the root, and then it should also peel right off.
3. Last resort that also works is going to the family Dr., and they freeze it every week until it is dead . This hurts a little bit, but does also work well. In Ontario, it is fully covered by your Dr. and should not cost you anything.
The ones at the Drug store are both around the $20. range. And Duct tape is around $5, at the hardware store.
Good luck....

Keep puting nail polish on the wart eventually it will drop off.
This method is not painful at all...Use clear nail polish as it won't show on ur face....
Reply:your doc should have a can of liquid nitrogen handy, he will spray that on them and they should turn black and fade away... they just need some sort of painful attention, and the body will recognize them as an outside intruder, and get rid of them.... try it out

Jamie is too androgenous.
Not feminine enough for girls.
Not masculine enough for boys.

Jasmine %26amp; Tatiana are both beautiful girls names.
And they sound nice together.

Does anyone know what this plant is called? its apparently a type of jasmine, but need help!!thanks?
Hi. I am trying to find out the specific name of this plant. It is a climber (i am told a jasmine?). It has brightish shiny green (light green) leaves which are quite quite broad, rounded leaves not thin ones. When the newer leaves mature and become older leaves they become very strong and fiborous (almost lots of cellulose in each leaf), making it almsot like a fiborous piece of paper or card you are wripping throuhgh.
When cut it ozzzes very white sticky sap. It has small delicate white flowers in little bundles and they are fragranced.
i believe it also keeps its leaves all year.
any help/possible names this could be would be great. plant is in uk garden in norfolk. thanks

Reply:White sap means and fragrant flowers sounds very much like Hoya to me. Link shows Hoya nummularoides, which has rounded leaves. However, many species of Hoya have rounded leaves. Do an image search on Hoya and see if you can match your plant.
Reply:Sounds like you have "night jasmine".It is very fragrant with pretty white flowers.
Reply:There are some 200 species of jasmine. Subsequently, all the answers you receive are merely guesses. A picture is worth a thousand words!

Where can I find a perfume or fragrance oil that smells exactly like jasmine?
I've looked in Sephora and department stores, but I can't find anything that smells exactly like jasmine. Anyone know where I can find something that smells exactly like it. Don't tell me to look online cuz I want to smell it before I buy it. Any store in SoCal would be preferred.

I want to know the author and publisher of the novella, 'The Jasmine Candle'. Its author is an African.
The hero of the story is Odole and the heroine is Zenobia. Other characters are Adesua, Daga and Yaw. It was most likely published by one of the following publishing houses; Heinemann, MacMillan or Longmann. It coulkd also be a book in the MacTracks Series or the African Writers' Series. There were two war-faring towns (villages) one of which was Dagabusi (I coulkd be wrong). Here are some key words that could help you answer my question: leopard, jasmine candle, northern kingdom, tribal marks. Finally, I must mention that the prologue described a war scene which resulted in the death of all the combatants save two people - a man and his nephew (or cousin). They agreed to make peace and sealed the agreement with different tribal marks to distinguish their respective people.

Characteristics of a plant called cestrum nocturnum (or night blooming jasmine)?
I want to plant night blooming jasmine; but my current back/side yards are mostly shade with some afternoon sun. Front patio area has morning sun with a strip of hot afternoon sun and lots of shade.
Characteristics of a plant called cestrum nocturnum (or night blooming jasmine)?
This particular plant can take full or partial sun. I'd place it wherever you have the room for it.
It grows fast, and the smell on large bushes can be overpowering on some summer evenings. I still love the smell of it though, and it's a wonderful plant to have!
If it gets too large for your area, go ahead and trim it, as it will replce bloom heads fairly quickly in the growing months.

Do you think I was cruel to call my daughter Jasmine Chloe Bishop (JCB)?
When I registered my daughters name I didnt realise her initials would be JCB until the registra said but because I iked her name Jasmine Chloe Bishop I kept it. Now that she is 4 years old people call her Digger or JCB do you think I was cruel to keep it or should I have changed it.
Do you think I was cruel to call my daughter Jasmine Chloe Bishop (JCB)?
i dont think that you were cruel at all, it is a beautiful name
Reply:I don't see how it's cruel, she has a nice name and initials that don't stand for anything embarrassing, as far as I can tell.
Like another commenter said, I'm sure that by the time she's older people will stop calling her "Digger" or "JCB" and I'm sure by the time she's older she'll decide what nickname she wants to go by, if any.
You should also look at it this way too: there are others who, quite possibly, have it worse. I still don't understand how the initials JCB are bad, but there are people out in the world with the initials STD or OCD, imagine the teasing they have to face!
Reply:How can people not know what a JCB is?! Have they never heard the JCB song?! Hehe. Ah well.
Nah, I don't think it was cruel, and you see a lot worse! A lot of peoples initials spell out something - if it was a rude word then maybe, I have a friend who's initials are T. I. T. lol. If the children are doing it a jokey way then there's no harm done - if they are doing it to seriously tease her then it's sad but don't blame yourself - kids can be cruel and will ALWAYS find something to pick on, if it wasn't that then they would have found something else!
Jasmine Chloe is a BEAUTIFUL name, don't worry about it! :-)
Reply:I don't get it. What is wrong with JCB? Is there some famous person called Digger? I think this reference is lost on me. Do most people know what JCB is?
Anyway, a person rarely goes by their full name beyond early childhood, so she will just be Jasmine Bishop when she is old enough to care. People just don't rely on their initials so much.
I think you need to nip the name-calling in the bud. People have no right (ESPECIALLY ADULTS) to tease a child for her name, and you as the parent are her only advocate. Stand up for her now while she is young and correct people each time they call her by a nickname or initials in an inappropriate way. You did not make a mistake in naming your daughter; they are being immature and rude.
By the way, consider your daughter's feelings, and avoid making it sound like you are trying to "hide" her name when you correct others. She should not have to feel ashamed. Explain to her that you are correcting others because they made a "mistake" when they called her something other than her name.
Reply:I dont think JCBs have made it to the states yet lol
Must be a british thing...
Anyway, I think the nickname Digger is quite cool. But its gonna be a love it or hate it typa thing... So she needs to embrace it now or forever get upset when kids taunt her... If she doesnt like people knowing her intials then dont tell them! Its not something people NEED to know.
You werent cruel... Just talk it through with your daughter and follow whatever route she wants to take with the nicknames.

Most people don't even know someones middle name. I doubt she will get teased over this one and the names are pretty.
Reply:I knew a girl who's last name began with an A and she named her daughter Alicia Ann so her initials are AAA Triple A.

I've had allergic reactions 3+ times and end up with very difficult breathing, swelling hot itchy throat, nasal twitches, etc. I know for a fact it is the jasmine tea that caused it.

What is the difference between a mock orange, and a jasmine bush?
I thought years ago that I had gotten a a few starts off of a mock orange bush, but someone told me they thought what I had is a Jasmine bush. Now, I'm not sure. I looked up a picture of the blossoms and they looked similiar. White delicate flowers. I live in the midwest U.S. and the bushes after all these years are doing fabulous.
What is the difference between a mock orange, and a jasmine bush?
Mock orange is a shrub with thin, flakey to shreddy bark.
Jasmines are generally vines....tho winter jasmine is a wild shrub, LOL. They can be either deciduous or evergreen or evergreen stemmed thru the winter.
Mock orange leaves are simple, that is at the stem where the bud is, there is just one leaf.
Jasmine can be simple but more often are trifoliate, that is 3 little leaflets......or may even be pinnate (like a honey locust) with multiple leaflets...up to 9.
Mock orange flowers have 4 petals and 4 sepals (hmm, how to describe a sepal....??...when a rose is still in bud, the green part that breaks open are the sepals. In some flowers the sepals aren't green, but the same color as the petals)
In jasmine the corolla (all the petals together) are 5 or 6 lobed.
Reply:Jasmine is a vine, so theres one difference. Mock Orange has glossy green leaves %26amp; a larger flower than the jasmine. It smells like an orange blossom, %26amp; the jasmine, which also has a pinkish tinge to the flower, is a highly fragrant plant
Reply:Mock Orange blossoms smell like a orange blossom
Jasmine bush smells like Jasmine flowers
they look similar but yet smell very different
Whatever it is,
enjoy its beauty and fragrance
Reply:The mock orange ( a true one) will be very fragrant with the smell of orange blossoms.

How do I grow a clipping off of a Confederate Jasmine?
A friend of mine has Confederate Jasmine on her trellis. I love the smell of it. And I was wondering if I can grow a clipping from it ? And what is the best way to get the clipping ?
How do I grow a clipping off of a Confederate Jasmine?
If possible layer it. This means you have to do the least work and it is almost guaranteed to grow.
Take a long branch stretch it out and pin it in the ground just behind a leaf joint anywhere along the length. Cover the stem with a little soil and wait. Eventually this section will grow roots and you can snip it from the parent and plant it.
http://www.answers.com/topic/layering?ca...
Reply:I think you just take a side cut near the base of a branch and place it in 2-3 inches in soil and loosely wrap twist ties around IT and a stick (or small dowel) that is stuck in the ground next to it.
try a high nitrogen plant fertilizer when you water it.
I'd water it just as your friend does
I think.....
give it a try and see how it works.
growing plants isn't my specialty.
Reply:Greenfingers is correct, I've done this to many other plants and it works, just be patient!

Not now! Prune it just after it has flowered. It flowers on the last years wood. So by pruning then, it will have time to grow flowering wood for the following year.

When would be the best time to transplant my jasmine plants? They need to be moved to bigger pots.?
I live on Vancouver Island, where the weather is rather mild, my jasmine are starting to get leaves, but the roots are coming out the top, they need to move, but not sure if I should do it now, or wait till they are fully covered with leaves. Any thoughts?
When would be the best time to transplant my jasmine plants? They need to be moved to bigger pots.?
Jasmines need plenty of time to grow and it should be done during the "rainy season" when it hasn't gotten too hot yet. Cut them back a bit, transplant, and fertilize weekly with soluble plant food until they start to grow back.
Reply:Do it now, while they are semi-dormant.

Is it too late to cut back clementis and jasmine?
i planted a climbing jasmine and clementis last year, is it too late to cut them back? some of the growth is brown and some is green which do i cut back?
Is it too late to cut back clementis and jasmine?
found this extra info-clematis, early flowering just require light pruning immediately after flowering and tudying up of unwanted/dead stems.
early large flowerers should be cut back to the highest pair of strong leaf-axil buds and any dead/damaged stems removed in early spring.
late flowerers need hard pruning before new growth begins in early spring. remove all the previous seasons stems down to a pair of strong leaf-axil buds 15cm-30cm above the soil.
the jasmine should be ok, but if the clematis is an early flowerer then best to leave it, although it would be ok just to tidy it up, trim back only the dead stalks!
Reply:It all depends on which Clementius it is as most should be cut back after it has flowered and the same for jasmine
Reply:You should have had instructions with both of them showing pruning times. However most Clematis should be cut back in February, so you can just about get away with it. Cut it back to about one metre. I would lightly trim the Jasmine at this stage.
Reply:No. Am not an expert but jasmine, in my experience, pretty much takes care of itself.
Clematis - there are so may variants of it - see link below, which says you don't necessarily need to prune it.
My own (un-expert) view is to cut the brown and keep the green.
Reply:No, it is not to late. You can remove any brown and or dead parts. Look for the new growth and avoid cutting it. All the dead, brown matter is last years growth.

My jasminium polyanthus has started to wilt (HELP)!!!!! Jasmine plant ......?
I planted a lovely jasmine plant about a month ago,in a sunny /shady spot . It has been doing really well untill now .Its started to wilt from the top down a little way. It has had plenty of water and feeding . And lots of rain the only thing out of the ordinary that has happened is a hanging basket fell on it !!! It didnt brake it or injure it . so im at a lose . I really love this plant and theres still new shoots growing but i just dont know why its wilting. Please could someone help with their opinion. many thanks x
My jasminium polyanthus has started to wilt (HELP)!!!!! Jasmine plant ......?
Jasmine plants like getting dry roots every now and again. When we lived in South Africa, our jasmine literally thrived in the drought conditions. When we moved to Germany, I sucessfully killed two jasmines by overwatering. Now I rather wait a day or three and let the soil dry out. They don´t mind full sunshine or semi-shade, you can even skimp on fertiliser, but keep them on the dry side. So. keep the fertiliser and watering can away for two weeks or even more. With this rain we are having at the moment, your poor plant is likely to drown!.
Reply:The leaves that are wilting, are they on a branch that has been broken wen the hanging basket fell on it,, if so then thats the reason,,
I have a Jasmine climbing up my wall in my front garden,, its absolutely beautiful,, and lasts all ova winter with the flowers,, it only gets watered wen it rains and is in full sun during the afternoon, eve,, it seems 2 thrive,, and occasionally it gets fed with miracle grow. It also gets a real good cut every year,, we cut it rite bak rite 2 ground level pretty much,, and it still comes bak bigger and beta each year,, it is now approx 8 yrs old..
Reply:I don't think jasmine likes a lot of water, it needs to strive to survive, sort of thing.
Reply:Are the wilting leaves discoloured?
How big is the plant? How fast has it grown to its current size?
What was planted where it is now? Did you add compost when you planted it - what sort? Are you feeding it? What with?
Reply:Dig it out and look for small maggot type grubs about 1/3 an inch long among its roots. If you find these it is vine weevil. You can get a nematode to control these from several biological control suppliers.

What is the best type of highly scented jasmine to grow in pot in garden?
would like to grow highly scented long flowering jasmine in a pot in garden is that possible
What is the best type of highly scented jasmine to grow in pot in garden?
trachelospermum jasminoides - the best. Why? it's highly scented AND it's evergreen, turns red in the winter and if fed and watered does't mind being in a pot one bit
Reply:i really like confederate jasmine it has a nice strong scent
Reply:Star Jasmine. Very hardy, very fragrant. I have had it in a patio pot for five years and it just keeps on growing.
Reply:Jasmine Officionalis, but it needs protecting from frost. Put a layer of bubble wrap around the inside of the pot before you put in the compost. And it doesn't like the wind either.
Jasmine needs a lot of feeding to keep it flowering year after year. Its also a climbing plant so needs support.

What is the perfume that smells exactly like Jasmine flowers?
Does anybody know what the perfume is......a smelt it on somebody once but didnt ask, it smells exactly like the white jasmine flowers in the mediteranian.
What is the perfume that smells exactly like Jasmine flowers?
why dont you go look at some essential oils in a shop like as previously mentioned the body shop as many people such as myself wear just the oils for a purer smell

Jasmin Eau de Parfum by L'Orientaliste took me by surprise — I don't know much about this line, but now I'd like to try more. Jasmin is a sort of middle-of-the-road soliflore, not so heavy and rich as Serge Lutens A La Nuit or Bruno Acampora Jasmin, nor so light and summery as the Chantecaille under consideration yesterday. The base is woody and warm and has a nice earthy finish, and a hint of spice in the dry down gives it a sultry feel after an hour or so. It is not a terribly complex fragrance, and I wouldn't call it a powerhouse in terms of lasting power, but it is very nicely done and reasonably priced at $56 for 50 ml. If you've tried anything else by L'Orientaliste, do comment.
The top notes of Montale's Jasmin Full smell like jasmine fruit candy. That fades to a white floral blend over a dry woody-musky base. It is pretty enough, but fails to captivate me — worn next to the L'Orientaliste, the flowers smell awfully clean, and while it lasts for ages, the far dry down verges on bland. Others have liked this one much better than I did; you can read positive reviews at Perfume Posse and Perfume Smellin' Things. The notes include jasmine, honeysuckle and orange blossom, and it is $95 for 50 ml.
I have a perfumista friend who calls Pink Jasmine by Fresh her "jeans" fragrance, and that is apt: this is a very casual, very "pink" fruity floral with lots of sparkling citrus and a bit of clean jasmine blended with light florals, and while it is foody and sweet, it wears well in the heat of summer. I can't say I'm enthralled personally, but I can understand why someone who likes sweet more than I do would be charmed. The notes include red orange, freesia, spring lilac, magnolia, peony, fresh jasmine, tiare flower, precious woods, velvety peach skin, and marsh mallow, and the lasting power and sillage are both good. Fresh Pink Jasmine is $75 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
Reply:It's called Jasmine.
Reply:When I was growing up I loved Love's Musky Jasmine Flower... now it's marketed under Love's Baby Soft Jasmine. I've not been to the Meditteranean, but I always enjoyed that scent. My daughter has worn Healing Garden Jasmine Therapy... that's probably easier to find than the Love's. And finally, when I searched the net the oen scent that kept popping up was by Woods of Windsor: I'm not familiar with it but it seems to be readily available and might just be the one. Good luck.

What type of soil and care does a jasmine vine need?
I live in Oregon (zone 8) and have clay soil with some sandy loam mixed in to loosen it up a bit. Do jasmine like moist or dry conditions? Do they need to be pruned? I love the scent of the flowers and would very much like to grow it. Thanks for your help!
What type of soil and care does a jasmine vine need?
First of all there are several kinds of Jasmine. You are probably asking about Star Jasmine. Star Jasmine-Trachelospermum jasminoides is a true vine and needs somewhere to go, a trellis, tree, balcony or pergola and will go 20 feet or so. But it is also very versatile. You can keep it trimmed often to about 2 feet tall to grow as a ground cover too. I'd say it likes moderate water and soil and can tolerate partial shade. I have seen it growing in many different conditions in SoCal. Just know that they tend to sit for 6 months or so after being planted without new growth. So, don't worry. Good luck :-)
But you could be asking about Pink Jasmine- Jasmine polyanthum is a vine that will grow quite large as well. Pink buds open to white flowers in late winter. Great for a fence. Can't be kept small. Can tolerate many soil conditions.

What can I do with a Star Jasmine bush??
We rent an apartment with this huge star jasmine bush in the back yard and I like it but the bees are crazy around it and I don't want my daughter to get stung or anything. Our rental agreement says we have to maintain the yard inside the fence so does that mean I can take it out without permission from landlord?
What can I do with a Star Jasmine bush??
If you cut it way back then it probably won't bloom. That would keep the bees away. Some landlords don't care what you do, as long as the yard looks nice. Others get upset if you change anything. Check with the landlord, or just keep it cut back enough that it won't bloom.
Reply:The rental agreement says maintain, so you can take it out if it causes a risk for your child. Maintaining means to keep up, so even if you took out the plant but still kept up the area, i think you would be just fine!!!
you could even put in a butterfly bush that attracts butterflies.
good luck

I need to know how tall a jasmine tree gets.?
I have a potted jasmine tree about three feet tall with small white flowers. I want to put it in my flower garden and need to know how tall it will get...THANKS!
I need to know how tall a jasmine tree gets.?
Jasmine is more like a shrub whose branches are vines. The vines can grow 15' to 20' long. It will tend to fan out and fall over and not look very tall unless you give it a trellis to grow up. I've grown a pair up and over an arbor that’s 8 foot tall in about three years.
For more info check this web site.

Reply:As tall as your one-storey house.
Reply:THat depends on where you live, some of them are only hardy in zone 9.

Anyone know how to help an Orange Jasmine bush bloom faster?
I have a good sized Orange Jasmine bush in my backyard, that right now only has berries and leaves on it.
Anyone know how to help an Orange Jasmine bush bloom faster?
Pruning often helps promote growth and flowering. Removing the fruit (berries) may also help. Do not add nitrogen fertilizer, as this will encourage vegetative growth (leaves) but delay flowering.

Question for people who own schnauzers, our Jasmine who is 10 months old loves to use her feet to paw us'?
Jasmine takes her front paws when we are holding her, like a baby would use her hands to get your attention we never know what it means but shes does it when I cuddle with her. I touch her paws and talk to her but she keeps doing it. Does any one have a schnauzer that does that to them?
I guess I need the dog whisperer huh lol.
Any answers would be a help thank you'
Question for people who own schnauzers, our Jasmine who is 10 months old loves to use her feet to paw us'?
You must have a Miniature Schnauzer. They have alot of poodle in the breed, and poodles are known to that. My poodle that I had for 18yrs did it, and so does my current dog. Which is a Schnauzer. You will also large dogs paws little dogs when they are playing. My Catahola likes to paw crickets and spiders. See steps on them, then looks in curious. Wondering why they are not moving and more.
Reply:I can tell you one thing for sure...it has absolutely NOTHING to do with being a schnauzer.
Alot of dogs do this. They are dogs, its their way of communicating. Maybe she's playing, or trying to show affection, or even trying to get or keep your attention focused on her. She could even be trying to tell you something....like she wants to go 'out' or wants food. Could be many different reasons. But its NOT a breed specific thing...
Reply:I have a schnauzer and she does the same thing. When we are not paying her attention she will come up to us and paw at us. She does it I guess to get our attention and play with her. As soon as I start doing something else and not playing with her so will start pawing again.
Reply:I use to have a mutt that when you flipped her over and held her like a baby she would paw at you when you weren't paying attention to her. She really loved her chest scratched and would do it as well when she wanted it done.
Shes most likely trying to say "hey I'm over here don't stop with the nails" or something close to that.

Does anyone know where I could order Jasmine oil or butter for cooking?
Preferable somewhere I can order online. I have googled it and haven't found any promissing websites. The only thing I can find would not ship to the US.
Another Idea is a recipe to make jasmine butter. That would be awesome as well.

Try Deananddeluca.com. They are in N.Y.C., with a retail store.

Why do indian office going women put jasmine flowers while going to office. they dry when they come home?
In ancient India, flowers were used as ornaments.Women used to wear garlands as we use a chain today. They also used to put flowers in their hair as an ornament.Good smelling flowers such as jasmine were used for this.Still now our Indian women follow this custom.

well i dont know the exact reason.. perhaps in ancient india, indian women were using good smelling flowers instead of deodrants (coz they didnt have them at that time).. may be now they aren't ready to shed the tradition..
why dont u ask them instead?? even i am curious to know the exact reason.. ;)

It is stupid to ask a widow in India why she does not wear flowers or wear a red spot on her forehead. This way you can go on questioning every custom all over the world. Why do you question the customs and practices of India alone. When the other parts of the world were cavemen, India had a great civilization working.

its not all working ladies wear a flower 'gajara' in their hair, ys some ladies like it the continuous smell of these flowers keep a person wearing happy and in good mood . the atmoshpere around has a fragrance of flowers ,some flowers has good smell, some flowers r worn for show ,they dont have good fragrance , a good fragrance give +ve energy to aperson whoever gets the smell,a stingy place gives -ve energy and thus -ve thought . thus to creat a + ve energy around as well as keep self happy and +ve its usefull.
Godess in old days were using a perticular flower gajras. its for same purpose.and in "vasant" ther r many fragmented flowers around .when its 2 hot if u drink a water in which khus is kept it gives u a cool ness .a good fragrance can cool agitated nerves . if u burn agarbatties , or dhoop in the evening time when working people come home tierd they feel good . go for it .
Reply:The kind of Indian women who wear jasmine flowers to work are the kind who still believe that it is one of the signs of being a married women. Kumkuma(red dot) mangalsutra (wedding necklace) and flowers that either are procured from god's feet. It is a sign of following traditions. Believe me, my aunt who worked in a very good post in Bangalore did that every day of her life and there is nothing tribal, hygiene oriented or illiterate about it.
We have to understand that just like in western countries women wont take out their wedding rings to suit what others think, women in certain parts of india or certain background and age will do what their tradition dictates and makes them happy. My cousins who all work in huge IT companies and are more educated than you or I will or wont wear flowers to work based on how their mood is. So there. And btw yeah they also wear it to make their husbands happy. But what is the problem if they first make themselves happy. Lot of the husbands bring flowers home to their wives in the evening as a token of love..

Any ideas for a tattoo of a jasmine flower, but somehow incorporate in somehow that it is my Maltese's name?
Jasmine = my babygirl, she is a Maltese, Im just looking for a cool interpertation of the flower...maybe somehow incorporating or representing that its my puppy's name. I know that may be hard, so if you have cool pics of just the flower that would be great! Thanks!

Maybe you can have small paw prints placed around the flower? or if you really want to represent your little girl (puppy) you can get an image of her?
Reply:Get a good picture (it can be a photograph) of the flower you like. Maybe have her name written in some swishies above or below the flower........the "usual" would be a banner, but I'd rather be more creative. Maybe have it look like it's written in "pixie" dust?

How do you get rid of Asian Jasmine?
We are trying to clean out our side yard and make it a small play area for the kids. The Asian Jasmine has taken over! Weed-eating, and pulling are not doing the job, and we really don't want to have to till everything up back there. Is there something we can spray that will kill it? Keep in mind that kids will be playing back there at some point, so we don't want it to become a nuclear waste area. :) Your help would be appreciated!
How do you get rid of Asian Jasmine?
Tilling probably wouldn't do the job. You'd just end up with more little cuttings. You would really need to dig it out to a deep level and refill with soil or a play surface material.
I wouldn't use the amount of poison you'd need to kill it if your kids are going to play there.
I suggest just using the lawn mower or weed eater on it just as you would if it were lawn grass and let the kids play on top of it.
