Jasmine plant?

I am really wanting to get a jasmine plant because I love the smell. I just wanted to know if they are really hard to care for and what kind of care do they require? (light/shade, lots of what/little water etc.)

Oh, and I live in an apartment so I will have to be potted.

~thanks.

Jasmine plant?
There are 3 basic types of Jasmine:

1. Star Jasmine - Trachelospermum jasminoides

Blooms early summer, white flowers. Very versatile, can be cut and grown as a groundcover, or given support will vine 20 ft. Sun to part shade.

2. Pink Jasmine - Jasminum polyanthum

Ferny folage, pink buds open to white flowers. Blooms late winter. Needs support, will vine to 15 ft or so. Sun to part shade.

3. Night Blooming Jasmine - Cestrum nocturnum

Upright shrub, frost tender, blooms late summer tiny flowers with strong fragrance. Sun to part shade.

All can grow in a pot. All take moderate water. Good luck :-)
Reply:we've had jasmine for years, in pots, inside. they are not hard to care for at all, you just have to place them and not move them. they like consistancy. water when dirt feels dry to the touch. they thrive best in medium sunlight. try to choose a morning-afternoon sunlight position, like a south-east place in the home.

your plant will reward you greatly with consistent bloom/flower cycles. :)
Reply:I suggest the "Star Jasmine" its a vine plant. It is hard to take care of. It likes the shade but needs some light. Water carefully, I've had two of these things and both died, but then again I was never home. The smell is great, if you can get it near a window with the right lighting, you'll never need incense in your house.
Reply:here i think this website will help you. you should try it.
